“I worked in everything, from houses to streets… we don’t need anything. My husband passed away, and I raised five children—Alhamdulillah.” With these heartfelt words, a martyr’s mother in Latakia welcomed the Floka volunteer team during a visit to check on her health and listen to her story. The visit was filled with warmth and kindness, and we offered her the necessary support and care. Her strength, patience, and sacrifice are a blessing to this country, and women like her remain a true light in the face of hardship.
