In a quiet corner of a camp in northern Syria, Umm Ahmed lives with her only son in a simple tent. It offers neither protection from the cold of winter nor the heat of summer... Ahmed suffers from amyotrophic vascular disease and requires ongoing treatment and medication that cannot be dispensed with...
